He is doing great today. The pain meds the vet gave him helped but I really believe it was all the prayers. Thank you for making the link for me to share. Ill take good care of him and make sure he heals all the way this time. I dont want him going through that pain again

Great! Thank you Jesus! No you don’t want to experience that again😳 I’m so glad he’s getting some relief. If you are unable to afford the supplements mentioned in the article I posted this morning, here are some less expensive alternatives. He needs to have some sort of anti-inflammatory food or substance on a daily basis to keep him out of pain. PRAY FOR: Edgar, 6 yo. Probable slipped disc. Lord Jesus we ask that the injections Edgar received would quell the inflammation and begin to heal this scary pain he is experiencing. Help mom Cassie to find a way to fully isolate him now and in the weeks to come so that Edgar’s body has an opportunity to heal completely. Help the family to understand Edgar’s need for alone time. Please pray for my dog Edgar. He is in alot of pain and we aren’t sure why. The vet gave him pain meds and steriods. I didn’t have enough financially to get an xray on him. He has been laying down alot and shaking because of the pain. He is a family dog. My kids love him and so do I. Please pray God will heal him and he will get to feeling better.

I was looking over your conversations on the group. So he was diagnosed with a disc problem?

He was about a month ago. He was showed the same symptoms. He was shaking and crying out. I took him to the emergency vet. They gave him steriods and a pain injection. I kept him still and comfortable till he healed. They had told me if he had more problems he may need an xray. They weren’t really sure but said the type of dog he is has alot of back and joint problems. He got better pretty fast. I was thankful and didn’t think it would happen again till this morning. I heard him crying and he was laying on the bathroom floor shaking. I could tell he was hurting again. I still had strriods from last time but I didn’t have anything for pain for him. I called the vet and told them.i didn’t have the money this time but he is having the same problem he did last time. They gave me something to give him for pain. It seems to be helping. He actually got up and started eating and drinking. Im not sure if it is a slipped disc but if it keeps going on, he definitely needs an xray to find the cause

The best thing you can do for him if this is a recurrence of the disc problem is to isolate him and keep him quiet. Do you have a crate for him? Usually a slipped disc requires at least six weeks of crate rest. If you didn’t have that he probably didn’t heal all the way. I am not a Veterinary professional, I can only advise you as a friend but I’ve watched people go through this many times.
Let me know if you want me to post him on the website tomorrow morning. I would be happy to. I will need a couple of good clear photos of him not too close up, but featuring his face and midsection. Or you could send some illustrative video of him in discomfort.
Is Tiny still doing well? He would need to keep other dogs and children away from Edgar to keep him quiet and still.

Yes I appreciate it. He needs all the prayers he can get right now. I didnt have a crate but when I would leave i put him a blanket in the bathroom and set down food and water. I closed the door and let him stay there until I got back. When I’m home he will lay beside my bed. He hasn’t tried moving much at all. Yea if it takes that long to heal, he may have reinjured it. He was acting back to normal and I thought he would be ok. Ill be more careful this time. Tiny is doing wonderful. That truly was a miracle. I didnt think he would make it but he snapped out of it and got ok. He was even paralyzed for a while. That was God that healed him. He is normal and had no long term effects at all

Ok. I would recommend that you keep him isolated. If you don’t have a crate, some kind of box should do in a pinch.
How does he seem at this hour? Is he still crying?

Yes i definitely will this time. I want him to heal all the way. I dont want him to go through that pain again. It hurts to see him hurting so bad. I feel so helpless
No, he is acting fine right now. I took him outside to use the bathroom. He did good and came back in. No more shaking and crying. He came by my bed to lay down and go to sleep

No, just Tiny. Tiny is a mini pom. He is just 7 lbs. Edgar is really close to him. He treats him like that is his puppy lol

Yes I know Tiny is small, but remember Edgar is small too. Little dogs have a lot of energy and move a lot they should be kept apart if you want Edgar to heal fully. I will I was him in the morning. Gnite luv. 💗🙏 Caren

That is true. I will keep them separated until Edgar heals. I dont want to do anything that would make this worse or ongoing. Ill keep him isolated and give him time to recover. Thank you so much for the advice
