Lizzie is only 5 yo, Janice has to say goodbye tomorrow, she has terminal Lymphoma

PRAY FOR: Lizzie, 5 yo. Terminal Lymphoma. Lord Jesus You know how torturous this decision is for mom Janice. In only 5 years Lizzie has captured her mom’s heart. We are saddened at this goodbye, but we know it is for the best for this dear girl. Please comfort mom Janice and Lizzie as they say their final goodbyes. Enable them to have a peaceful night tonight; their last. Help Lizzie to breathe, keep her calm. Wrap Your arms around Janice and give her the peace that only comes from You. It’s Saturday morning, and I vowed to spend all weekend with my sweet Lizzie ! My baby has cancer , and in my heart I know it time to say good bye . They told me I would know when that time was . Last night about 2 in the morning, I woke up to hear some heavy breathing , I got down on the floor with her ( she’s not sleeping with me anymore ) not sure why , but I think when they are sick like this they start distancing themselves from us . But anyway I got on the floor with her , and I talked and cried …as bad as she was feeling , she raised her head up and gave me kisses as to say “ mama it’s gonna be ok “ We go see Dr. Shane Tuesday at 3:45 …so the next 3 days is all about her …. I’m so heartbroken, and it’s gonna be “ again “ one of the hardest things I will ever do .
Please pray for my sweet baby that her transition to another life will be gentle for her . I will be holding her …I would never let her go through this alone , so also please pray for me because I’m already a mess …and Tuesday is gonna be a very hard day !!

Psalm 62 (ESV)

Please update me on her condition and what’s been going on with her for the past few months. This all has to have been made harder for you both by our present circumstances with the virus. ?? Caren

Thank you ! She was diagnosed I guess In February when I put that post up . She has lymphoma…..to treat her would only prolong her life about 6 to 8 months , so knowing this would only prolong we decided not to put her through treatment. We have been treating her with prednisone . The prednisone is beginning not to work …she is having a hard time breathing and walking and using the bathroom…we have to take her in and out now because she won’t go up and down the steps . Her little body is so swollen from the prednisone, that in itself is making her very uncomfortable . So we decided to take her for her last ride tomorrow at 3:30 …we are so heartbroken, and I’m already a mess !
Thank you for caring enough to respond back . We love our babies and wish they could stay with us forever

Poor Lil girl… I think we all have a love-hate relationship with prednisone. When they start taking it it seems like a life saver but in the end it tends to make things worse, especially at the high doses necessary for cancer. I wish it were not so and that you didn’t have to go through this.
