Mom Amy is fearful of what “Sophie’s” oncologist will say today

PRAY FOR: Sophie 7yo and mom Amy. Mast Cell Cancer. Lord Jesus, mom Amy has watched Sophie’s tumor grow in spite of treatment. Today they see the oncologist to determine if any further treatment is recommended. Please be with mom Amy and Sophie as they wait for answers. Amy has been fighting so hard for Sophie; trying every possible immune booster available. We ask that Sophie would be able to spend the maximum amount of time with the family who loves her. This is the best department of the state so I’m gonna have them do a consult, check the biopsy cancer plan

This is a bit confusing can you saying this is the best oncology Vet in your state? So you’re getting a second opinion on the plan they gave you with her original biopsy?

Yes. The vet she goes to does not have the technology in case it’s an invasive surgery and or needs amputation. So I’m bringing her to the one that can do everything should we find it has spread

And you are sure the tumor has grown, but not yet sure if it has spread? Has her behavior changed significantly since we last talked?

No the last vet doesn’t know the grade either. They would have to operate to determine. But once in they are limited. I won’t put my baby through that twice. We will operate with the best and ensure they get good margins. She is back in good spirits , as the drugs made her sleepy,and she is quite cuddly.

I am fighting mode and continue to do all the holistic cures daily as well as the cancer diet
Monday I may find out this is terminal or we have a chance. But today I enjoy her and never let her feel she is in danger

Your plan of action with the doctors makes good sense to me

I did and add fish oil to her diet and a Benadryl each day to stop the histamine spread

Good. There was a particular supplement in that article that Al’s mom swore by. I had never heard of it before “I’m Yunity” did you ask your holistic vet about it or the turkey tail by any chance?

Yes. I actually have it ordered. I had read about that when I first did my research. When I say I have researched, let me tell you I have five bucks on dogs for cancer, every blog possible, prayer group, and taking notes on her behavior. She is my baby. I cannot imagine going on without her greeting me each day

Okay good you’re doing everything you possibly can Amy. My Hope and prayer for you and Sophie is that it’s God’s will for her to continue with you. I have seen many miracles over the years in this ministry I don’t know if Sophie will be one of them. I wish I did know, I would do anything I could to spare you the loss.

Our lives are but a breath. It’s only by the grace of God that we take each new breath. We are such fragile creatures. You are right to enjoy each moment with Sophie as though it may be the last. I think that’s a good thing to do with anyone we love.

I will continue to pray for you through the weekend and I will post Sophie on Monday morning, Lord willing.

I’m with you too Amy, you are not alone in this. I’ll be praying for you and Sophie. God does not always answer in the ways we expect, but he does hear our prayers when we ask in Jesus’ name.
