Nala can barely eat- she has a huge mass pressing on her stomach…
PRAY FOR: Nala, 10 yo. Cancer. Lord Jesus we ask that You would enable Nala to eat. Please shrink this mass or move it so that she is able to retain food in her stomach. She is mom Nanette’s shadow, we ask that you would strengthen her body in preparation for exploratory surgery next week. Give mom Nanette the tools she needs to get Nala through the waiting and the surgery. We ask for a good outcome; that this cancer would be treatable, and that You would heal Nala. My Nala bug goes in for exploratory surgery on the 19th. She had a nine cancers growth removed a few years ago but it seems to have returned. I am so worried. She is my little shadow. I’m so worried and scared for her.

I am beginning to work on her post but it would be good to have some more information. How old is she?

No there is a mass on her tummy. She had one removed about 5 yrs ago that wasn’t cancerous but it has come back so she will be having exploratory surgery next Friday. She is barely eating because the mass is pushing on her stomach. Best case the ultra sound was wrong-worst case they open her up see an absolute mess that can’t be helped and we say good bye.But she is 10yrs old , she is a Shitzu/Japanese chin. She loves routing in the snow . And is my little shadow. Loves giving her sister Pickles a bath. She is such a sweet little girl.

You said that she had nine cancerous growths removed. What kind of cancer was it?

It was one large mass that had no signs of being cancerous but the vet said where they did her first surgery may have missed something. Both the first vet and my vet have said they had never seen anything like it. The first mass they removed was 1/2 her weight. They said the mass wouldn’t come back because they did not find cancer but now that it has come back we are really questioning the first findings. I did not have her when she had her first surgery. She has only been my fur baby for 2 and a half years and pray I will have her much longer.
