One year after learning Shelby’s tumor was inoperable, she fights on

PRAY FOR: Shelby, 6 yo. Osteosarcoma, Inoperable mouth tumor. Lord Jesus we are so thankful that a year after Shelby’s cancer was pronounced inoperable, she is still with us and as lively as ever! We ask that You would keep the growth at bay to enable Shelby to continue to function well and happily despite the state of her jaw. Give mom Denise hope and courage as they face another year battling this tumor. Give her strength of body and mind to continue the natural protocol which has been so helpful. Continue to give Shelby the will to fight and the strength she needs each day. In the Name of Adonai Rohi. God our Shepherd. Amen. <3 Caren
Denise Robertroy: 6-23-20: SHELBY UPDATE June 4, was one year ago that I noticed something was wrong with Shelby’s upper gums. Unfortunately, months later she was diagnosed with inoperable mouth cancer. Because of the location of her cancer there isn’t any treatment. This past year went by fast with ups & downs but here we are looking forward to celebrating Shelby’s 7th birthday on June 30
🎉🎂
Psalm 27:1-14 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. …
Today after several weeks of bleeding spells (days & nights) from her gums around her canine tooth Shelby had her canine tooth removed this morning. We wanted it to come out on it’s own but that wasn’t happening. Look how HUGE that canine tooth (top tooth) is in the picture!!😧The bottom tooth is from a previous extraction.
I thought that tooth was big! 🦷
The cancer was pushing the tooth out and the tooth was slowly dying. Because the tooth was protruding so far out it would hook on just about anything (blanket) and bleed. One night around 2am she woke up and shook her head (not unusual as furbabies shake their heads🤷🏼♀️).
I woke up as I felt wet on my arms & face/head. I thought it was a lot of slobber so I turned on the light and it was blood!! That was a looooong night😞🩸🩸

The picture I posted of Shelby bleeding is from Tuesday evening when I couldn’t get the bleeding to stop for several hours. Her and I just hung out on the back deck till the bleeding stopped. I did the ice pack, put pressure and used my new favorite…..Manukau Honey.
It was bleeding from several locations and I think when she ate dinner a piece of food scratched her sensitive gum🤷🏼♀️ That’s the night I decided the tooth needed to be pulled.
Tonight Shelby ate her dinner as normal and we even played a game of catch. I know the picture of her bleeding looks bad but I wanted to show y’all how good she’s doing after the tooth pulling by posting a clip of her playing today.
With so much going on in our world today we have to remember that there are so many wonderful people🥰
I’ve been asked by people how they can donate money for Shelby’s medical. I appreciate the kindness more than I can express but there are so many other people in dire need. If you’d like to donate, please allocate and donate to your favorite charity/cause or gofundme with Shelby in mind❤️🐾🥰
I’d also like to thank all of you for following my sweet Shelby’s story and her having “Her Best Life”. I’ve gotten many pm’s from so many wonderful individuals with such big hearts. Whether it’s a pm, Facebook post or gift package, y’all are soooo sweet🍭thank you😘hug & cuddle your furbabies🙏🏻❤️🐾🥰
