Prince is now cancer free but now he has extremely high liver enzymes

UPDATE 7-21-20:

Marilyn Basile Mandosa
Just heard from the doctor. He feels since prince is acting his normal self it is not a reoccurrence of the cancer. In fact last time he was checked his level was 1800. Doctor feels we are going in the right direction and check him in 2 months. If they go up again or if I want to look further into it I should bring him to an internist. He said it was up to me but since all is pointing in the right direction give it time. I am so relieved that I am shaking. Again I cannot express my gratitude to all my prayer warriors and especially to you Caren. I truly feel that you are an angel sent to me by GOD. I continue to pray for all our pets and their companions. May St. Francis their patron continue to protect them. ❤️❤️❤️

Wow, terrific news Marilyn! I’m so happy for you! I still think it would be advisable to try to create or at least supplement with a raw diet for him as much as possible. I will add this link again to help you consider various possibilities available. DOG DIET https://prayersforpets1.org/fda-warning-grain-free-dog-food-may-cause-heart-disease/

As far as angels go, I’m hoping that you just mean this in a figurative but not a spiritual sense😊 This article alludes to what I’m talking about ANGEL TRAP https://prayersforpets1.org/the-angel-trap/

I will add this glorious update to Prince’s post from yesterday. All praise and honor and glory be to our God and to his Son forever and ever! 🤗💗🙏Caren

Yes Caren I understand what you mean about an angel. 😉Also I have kept him away from grain free and anything coming from China. Thank you I will introduce him to a special diet.
Prayers for Pets
Ok good – about angels😁 The grain-free products have a lot of junk in them, but I hope you don’t take that to mean that grains are to be desired. Grains are not generally something dogs require, they began to be used by commercial processors because it was easy and cheap. That said you need to go by what is doable for you. If you choose a diet that’s too complicated and you won’t be able to keep up with it then it’s not for you. Just because a raw diet works well for some dogs doesn’t mean that it’s right for every dog. Don’t be guilt-tripped into one diet or another. I’m trusting God to lead you to the exact right diet for you and for Prince. 💗🙏Caren

Marilyn I saw your post yesterday. It’s kind of confusing I don’t understand what exactly is going on. You’re saying he has small stones are these gallstones?

Marilyn Basile Mandosa 7-19-20: Sorry for the confusion. When he went for to the encologist, the dr discovered he had some stones but still nice they did not bother him he said there was no need to delay his surgery. If you recall he put him on denamarin for his liver along with diphenhydramine and omeprazole. After his follow up from surgery the surgeon discontinued with the latter two and as instructed by the encologist he was to complete taking the denamarin with a follow up blood test at my regular vet. I guess there are 5 tests that they run and 4 came out good but one did not. He explained to me that the level should be between 90 – 110. Princes level was over 1000. He further explained the different reasons for it being so high. My vet forwarded his results to the encologist and wanted me to get in touch with him to see if they differed with his test. So now I need to wait until Monday to see what the encologist has to say. I am disappointed but between the hospital and my vet ( who never hesitates to send him to a specialist) we will see next step. I am praying that a special diet is all he needs. Thanks for asking.

John 10: 14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life— only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

Oh my that helps me understand what’s going on a little. That sounds like a pretty scary number compared to the normal enzyme levels. How is his behavior? Does he seem sluggish or uncomfortable?

Marilyn Basile Mandosa
That is what is so confusing. He is acting normal. The dr. asked if he is drinking more than usual and I told him no. He does not play as much as he use to but he is 8 1/2. But is is still playful. The only thing I can think of the oncologist did say he had stones but they did not seem to be bothering him so he moved forward with the surgery. At first he time I did not ask where because I was so concerned about the cancer.

So the vet never said whether it was gallstones or bladder or kidney stones?
Marilyn Basile Mandosa
Sorry about my typing I cannot stand it when the auto correction takes it upon itself to put in words.
No never said.
Prayers for Pets
That’s life in 2020🤗 ok. I’m guessing it must be gallstones because that directly affect the liver. Yeah it’s a long wait… shall I post him again for prayer? I would need a new picture
Marilyn Basile Mandosa
Yes thank you. Will send a picture.

Marilyn Basile Mandosa
He was wagging his tail. He is such a happy boy.
Prayers for Pets
Beautiful! I will post him in the morning. How is your back?
Marilyn Basile Mandosa
Not as much pain but I do aggravate it because I cannot sit still. Thanks for asking.
Prayers for Pets
I know the problem well! 😅
Marilyn Basile Mandosa
