My daughter Dena’s dog. Sasha is 8. My daughter and her husband rescued her when she was maybe 5 week old. Surgery was on June 14. They just got the results back from the biopsy on Wednesday.. Thank you so much for creating this page. What a blessing you are to so many.
Im going down to see her on Monday and anoint the dog with oil and pray over here.
Prayers for Pets1:
You are very welcome Diann we’ve been at this for nearly eight years, I’m so glad you found us!
What did the biopsy show?
Diann Russell Frey:
Its a stage two. The vet originally thought it was nothing. not sure how far he went around the borders. He wants Dena to see and oncologist. They do not have extra money to do that. It is so over the top expensive to see specialist.
Im going to go with her to the appointment with the vet who did the surgery and will try to get more info. My last dog had mast cell. Its such an awful disease. He had two surgeries and still passed.
Prayers for Pets:
Oh dear… they might want to look into insurance I’m not sure what different plans offer but they do have them now.

There’s lots of information about natural cures on our website, search cancer and you will see plenty of articles I have written over the years. ( the website has only been up since 2016, the prayers for pets book was written in 2014, [there’s] also a free resources book that you can get here: https://prayersforpets1.org/welcome) Prayersforpets1.org
Prayers for Pets1:
It’s hard to tell from this aerial view is Sasha a staffy or a pit bull?

Diann Russell Frey:
Shes a pit bull.
Prayers for Pets1:
Ok, good to know. I will post her [on] Pitbull pages when the post is ready in the morning. Sometimes they will get a lot of attention this way and sometimes not one never knows😜

You sound like you are a follower of Christ. Do you consider him your Lord and Savior?
Diann Russell Frey:
I am madly in love with my savior and Lord Jesus Christ. I have known Him since I was 7 yrs old.
I am also an intercessor.I pray for people all over the world.
Prayers for Pets1:
Pawsome! Me too! Ya never know though. We have recently become part of the Acts 29 church planting movement. Reformed Protestant. What’s your tradition?
Diann Russell Frey:
I will have Dena check out the webpage for holistic alternatives. We both prefer to do things the natural way but sometimes you have to use chemicals too.
I live in […non-denominational] church. I am a spirit filled believer.
Prayers for Pets1:
I agree. I have found over the years that chemo can be extremely effective on dogs, and far less disruptive to their well-being in most cases than it is for humans. Radiation is something I would never recommend for an animal, however.
Diann Russell Frey:
My husband and I lost our last dog to mast cell. He had two surgeries but we didn’t want to put him on chemo. We had friends that had used it and it didn’t help much but I have heard some do well.
Prayers for Pets1:
Ok. We moved up to Northern Nevada for 9 years and came back reformed 😊 we are in the process of helping to start a church plant in […] right now. It’s pretty exciting stuff!
Yes from what I’ve learned about it mast cell is extremely complicated because of the nature of the Beast
Diann Russell Frey:
That’s great you are helping to get a church going. God is so good.
Yes mast cell is awful. Our first dog had it and had surgery and it never came back. She had other problems with hips etc but the cancer never returned.
Prayers for Pets1:
He is indeed!
That’s fantastic that it didn’t come back. Unfortunately that’s not always the case…
Prayers for Pets1:
One thing I’ve learned is that making the entire body as healthy as possible can sometimes fight cancer better than treatments. You never know where you are on the dog’s life’s timeline however. If you start pouring supplements into them when they’re past the point of no return you won’t know unless they work.
Diann Russell Frey:
It was a small area. I think we got it before it got out of control. I just read an article about Benadryl helping stop the cells from spreading in mast cell.
Prayers for Pets1:
Yes! Because it’s an immune response
The person I like to check with First is dr. Becker on Dr mercola’s site. I don’t always agree in lockstep with her but I usually look at what she has to say first before I searched around for other sources.
Diann Russell Frey:
I believe that too. We have to give them the best food we can and keep them healthy.
I forgot about that site. I will have to bring it up to Dena. Dallas has been a pretty healthy guy. I cook his food and give him honest kitchen. When I found out several years ago what is in dog food I started cooking for my dog. I actually gave Jake raw food.
Prayers for Pets1:
Yes dr. Becker insists on Raw for everyone. I tend to agree with her but I don’t think it’s something you want to introduce in [an] older dog without much caution.
Diann Russell Frey:
Oh yes. Praying for them all..
I think it is the best way to go for a young dog but more careful for an older dog.
I tried all kinds of things when our last dog got mast cell. I was giving him frankincense oil in his food, turmeric etc. I think it prolonged his life for several months but he still died from the cancer.

I have linked our resources page to Doctor Andrew Jones and his work. He also has some excellent advice on a range of topics. [You’ll] need to scroll down a bit to get to the video with various anti-inflammatory products listed below on this page:

Prayers for Pets1:
Make sure to take a look at this article. Al has been a complete miracle and success story, but it wasn’t mast cell cancer:

Diann Russell Frey:
Thank you so much for these. I will share this
with my daughter.
