PRAY FOR: Coco, 15 yo. Lord Jesus we ask that You would fill the empty space in Coco’s heart which yearns for her mate from puppyhood. When Meggy her napmate died 7 months later it seems to have sapped the life out of Coco. Rescued as pair with Indigo at 12 yo, Indigo and Coco were inseparable. We thank You for the mercy of allowing them to live out their days together, but ask that You would replace the longing in Coco’s heart with Your comfort and the peace that only You can bring. In the Name of Adonai Nachamah, the God of all Comfort. Amen. <3 Caren

Lisa Davis Caramel Sunday’s Legacy 8-12-20: Within the span of 6.5 months, Coco has gone through 2 losses. The first being Indigo, who she came into rescue as a bonded pair. She lived with him since she was a pup. The second being Meggy, whom she napped and slept with regularly. She’s sad. We all are. I need to pray for her and pay more attention to her.

2 Corinthians 1: 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

I always wondered who Caramel Sunday’s Legacy was! Thank you, yes. I have been praying for Coco; she looks like she is in a challenging state. Poor baby… I’m about to shut down for the night. Please let me know what’s going on with her. You’re not at all specific on the group. I like to know specifically so I can pray specifically and if there’s anything that I have written or researched and can pass on to you I’d like to be able to do that. I will watch for a message from you in the morning. I’m glad you’re with us Lisa I’ve wondered who you were for a very long time! 💗🙏Caren PrayersforPets1.Org #PrayersforPets1
😍

Lisa Davis
Ok. I will get you the specifics this week. Thank you so much!
Carmen. Let me know if this helps.
On Jan 7th, we lost Indigo at age 16. He was a foster fail. He was also part of bonded pair. He was bonded with Coco. They had been together since puppy hood. Coco was sad for a while. Seemed like a cataract came on her left eye quickly. She looks out the kitchen window, like waiting for Indigo.
She started to bond with Foster Clancey and she was always friends with Miss Meggy. Indigo, Meggy, and Coco typically would sleep in the same bed together or to nap. When 19 year old Meggy died on July 24th, Coco is in mourning for her “baby” sister. She stares a lot. She has lost her lifelong buddy and sister she’s known for almost 4 years in 6.5 months. It makes us sad to see her this way. But I know prayer always helps and can change things.

Awww, Lisa, how very sad for you all. You are grieving all of those losses as well. That has to have an effect on her too. How long had you had each of these dogs? 💗🙏Caren

I adopted Meggy October 2013 at around age 12-13 with 1 tooth that ended up toothless. I started fostering Indigo and Coco September 2016 and adopted them March 2016. I adopted them on the the anniversary/birthday of my deceased twins.
Prayers for Pets
So Miss Meggy was the anchor for them all it sounds like. Is Coco now completely alone?

Lisa Davis
No. There’s foster Clancey and Izzy. Coco is close to Clancey.
Prayers for Pets
7 years is a chunk of life to spend together. It sounds like you made it rich for Miss Meggy to live so long especially toothless. I’m glad she has Clancey. Were either of those raised from puppy hood? Or were they fosters too?
Lisa Davis
Clancey was 10 when he came here. Be 2 years next month. Izzy is 10 and recently got her.

Wow you’re my hero! We have many people at PrayersforPets1 who rescue senior fosters. I love to hear that it’s such a difficult, selfless thing to do. Are they all doxies?
Lisa Davis
Yes, they are!
Prayers for Pets
They’re a treasure aren’t they? 🤗💗 tell me the story of Caramel Sunday. I’m guessing he or she was your first doxie?

Lisa Davis
No. She wasn’t.
She was my first hospice senior adoptee.
Prayers for Pets
Ohhhh, I see…
Lisa Davis
I found her riding in the car in Atlanta, after a doctor’s appointment as hubby drove. I wondered if there was a dachshund rescue in Atlanta and found one and caramel.
Prayers for Pets
Awwwww, it was love at 1st sight?
Lisa Davis
She was hospice and they posted her in case there was that 1 special person and that was me. We had her 6 months when she died. I got Meggy a month later.
Yes. Pulled my heartstrings.

Prayers for Pets
Wow… that is quite a commitment… you put your heart and soul and body into that one. Nursing a dying creature is the hardest thing we do is humans, then saying goodbye; well it’s all wrapped together that’s the hardest thing we do.
Did you know that it was never God’s plan for us to suffer death?
Lisa Davis
Yes. But Adam and Eve sinned. For the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Prayers for Pets
Yes! HALLELUJAH! I’m glad you know that because you will see all of those you have nursed and adored once again!
Lisa Davis
Amen!
Prayers for Pets
I suspected you might be a Christian but you never know. Nice to meet you sister😁🤗💗🙏

Lisa Davis
Recently saved, baptized, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. For years I thought I was saved but there was no fruit and no change.

Oh wow! Excellent! Here is a terrific resource I just updated the other day BIBLE APPS https://prayersforpets1.org/need-answers-2/

Lisa Davis
Thank you. I’ll look this over later.

Awwwww, so precious!

Lisa Davis
Will any of those work?
Prayers for Pets
I think I can make something work here. She must have been a real Beauty when she was a little younger. She’s a real Beauty now but just [in a] different way of course😍 what is the condition between her eyebrows there?
Lisa Davis
She has a beauty mark.
Prayers for Pets
Oh, OK. It looked like it might be a scab. So is [it] that between her eyes and also at the end of her nose?

Lisa Davis
The nose was from her trying to get out of her crate before I got her.

Oh my 😁a woman with strong opinions🤗😍
