Trooper has a sore hip, it may be dysplasia, mom Renee is sad to see him struggle
PRAY FOR: Trooper, 4 yo. Possible Hip Dysplasia. Lord Jesus You know how difficult it is for Trooper to have such discomfort in his hip. We ask that You would help mom Renee to find the best way to treat this condition should it be confirmed by the Vet. If it would be Your will we ask that You would firm up Trooper’s joints, keep them from slipping. Relieve the pain associated with hypermobile joints. Give the Vet wisdom on Friday to determine what exactly is causing Trooper’s discomfort. In the Name of Adonai Rapha. God our Healer. Amen. <3 Caren

Hi, I am new to this group, my boy Trooper is having trouble with his left hip, he has for awhile, but now it’s constant and he won’t put weight on it. He has an appointment on Friday morning for x-rays, the vet thinks it might be hip dysplasia. I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

Thank you, he is 4 1/2 , it’s been bothering him for a few years now but it was only occasionally, or in the evening after a day of alot of playing and running, it was just a little stiffness after laying down, but now he can’t go up the stairs to my son’s room ( that’s were he sleeps) and he doesn’t put weight on it most of the time. Hurts my heart to see him like this. Thank you so much I really appreciate it.

Oh my goodness, he is young. I hope you have talked to his breeder. I’m so sorry Renee. What kind of diet is he on? There are a lot of anti-inflammatory foods which can be helpful.

The breeder isn’t around anymore. He is on Purina pro plan for sensitive skin and stomach, but I will check with the vet after the xray to see if he suggests that I change it ,Thank you

This is an article that I wrote a while ago but I continue to update it. Pay attention to Dr Becker’s recommendations on diet in the videos. She is a proponent of raw diet. That doesn’t work for everybody but it is an ideal to work toward. Diet really does matter for a dog’s health. I know that German Shepherds have difficulty with sensitive stomachs. Yes absolutely do talk to your vet about any changes you may want to make.

It’s been SO hard to find a church this past year. We recently moved out of state, that’s made it even more difficult. We need Christian community to encourage each other.
